Saltenna has demonstrated the ability to transmit data along metal pipelines, through concrete, through a Faraday cage, and even through a pressurized airtight and watertight chamber, making it ideal for complex Industrial IoT environments that block traditional WiFi and radio signals.

Saltenna is developing these communications capabilities in the following environments:
- Above-ground industrial facilities
- Deep sea facility oil and gas installations
- Deep sea pipelines

Saltenna's technology enables complex infrastructure to be retrofitted for current and future communications and sensing needs without pausing operations, drilling holes, or running wires. It will also enable faster retrofits, greater flexibility, and less susceptibility to obsolescence due to wiring limitations.
